Calculating Edge 2 Edge Pricing

One of the hardest parts of operating a business, and in this case offering a professional quilting service, is working out how much to charge your customers!

I am pretty happy with myself today for setting up a price calculator for visitors to my website to use to get an idea of how much it will cost to get their all over edge-2-edge quilting done by AFD Quilts!

The calculations are based on a price of $6.00 per square foot. Most designs can be stitched out for between $5.00 to $7.50 per square foot (12” x 12”) depending on the time each row takes to be stitched. This pricing seems to be fairly standard in Australia and compares with fair pricing for the work involved.

With this in mind, there is a minimum charge for small quilts or projects and this calculator will show the minimum price if your quilt is smaller than the dimensions to meet the minimum price.
